Obviously one of my big interests are board games. I'm pretty particular about what games I collect but my wishlist is ever-growing constantly! ;-)
So below I have my official wishlist~
TALES OF THE CRYSTALS- Another childhood game I had and yep you guessed it, sold it at the damn garage sale too! I remember buying this at Toys R' Us in 1993 when the game came out, and I have fond memories of playing this role playing princess game with friends. It's a magical game and a little girl can be a princess, so what's not to love about that! I could really kick myself for letting this one go because its highly highly sought after and very expensive (unless you are lucky enough to find a great deal), on Ebay its a tough find and when it does pop up, its about 75 to 100 dollars! Yikes!
I have found a couple websites that go into detail about the game, "Tales of the Crystals"- even found one fan of this game who made her OWN version of it! If you happen to own this game, but have lost certain parts of it over the years, there is a gal online who has the player cards and other items scanned to download (virus free of course). I downloaded them and after browsing through them, wow, do I remember more than I think I did! Love the nostalgia that comes rushing back. :-)
She also posted photos of the game which I'm including below:
Lastly, here is the website I obtained the above photos: Anna Archive- Tales of the Crystals
This game runs on a cassette and in this day and age that technology is...well...dead I'm afraid. However, thank goodness for users on YouTube! They upload either the VHS or cassette tapes from various games. This user has the entire cassette tape uploaded- check it out:
DOORWAYS TO HORROR THE VCR GAME-
I found this game online by accident and now really want it!
The original 1986 commercial for "Doorways to Horror"
And I found the full VHS game of "Doorways to Horror"- someone uploaded the entire tape on YouTube:
NIGHTMARE IV- This is the 3rd expansion pack game for the popular 90's "Nightmare/Atmosfear" series. Now we have Elizabeth Bathory, a vicious vampire for the host! I can't wait to sink my teeth into this one... ;-) Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find a commercial for this game. :-(
ATMOSFEAR: KHUFU THE MUMMY- This game was the LAST of the Nightmare aka Atmosfear series to come out and it was released in 2006 in DVD format, unlike the other games from the 90's which had VHS tapes. I am eager to nab this game because from what I've seen this is the toughest game to obtain- in the USA that is. It was only released in the UK, however, one outside of the UK can still purchase the game on sites like Ebay, but the tough part is converting the PAL formatted game DVD (UK region only) so that one can play it in other countries like the US.
Here is the TV commercial spot for "Khufu the Mummy"-
ATMOSFEAR: THE SOUL RANGER- I had never heard of this Atmosfear game but from what I read, this was sort of a sequel or "add on" to The Harbingers game. With all the different games, names, and countries these were sold in, please forgive me if I'm making this all confusing! This game is from 1996 and I'm guessing extremely rare. I have found it on Ebay but its not cheap, let me tell ya!
HARBINGERS BOOSTER TAPE- The best way to describe this game is to read about it on Board Game Geeks official website.
ATMOSFEAR THE CARD GAME- Just like the booster tape, I had never heard of this game either. There are photos and a great description for this game on Board Game Geek's website as well.
ATMOSFEAR THE ULTIMATE CONFLICT- Again, I wasn't familiar with this game, however, I later learned that this is a combo pack of the games: The Soul Rangers & The Harbingers, and it was only sold in the UK. Of course, one who lives outside the UK can purchase this game and I have seen it pop up on Ebay, but its not cheap- wouldn't want to sell your "soul" to get ir, would you? ;-)
BRAM STOKER'S DRACULA THE BOARD GAME- One of my favorite movies and I so want this game! Click on Board Game Geek to read more.
JEWELS IN THE ATTIC- I found this game listed on Board Game Geek and I had never heard of it, but it sounded a bit like "Tales of the Crystals" so it seemed to be right up my alley!
I found a Word file of the directions for this particular game and am posting them below:
AN EVENING WITH BRAM STOKER'S DRACULA- Another Dracula game which is centered around the Francis Ford Coppola 1992 film. I don't usually get into role playing games but this seems like that type of game and with the right people, I think it could be a lot of fun! The game came out in 1992, following the release of the film. Below are some photos from the Board Game Geek website...
I also found on Board Game Geek, a file that you can download and see all the game cards from the above game- but the only clincher is that they are in Spanish- take a look:
ENCHANTED FOREST- I just found this game earlier today and at this point, haven't read too much into it. But I wanted to include it because it looks like a fun game!
And here is a game review video for "Enchanted Forest"- I couldn't find an actual commercial for it-
CLUE: THE GREAT MUSEUM CAPER!- Again, any "Clue" game works for me! I do remember seeing this in stores back in the day, but never picked it up. Well, now I will!
Here's the (corny...lol) commercial for "Ask Zandar"-
MYSTERY MANSION- I just stumbled upon this game a couple hours ago and wanted to quick add it to my list! Another "whodunit" mystery detective game, but it looks like its quite old and not cheap to purchase! Here's a photo of the game cover and some photos from Board Game Geek- people post pictures of their own games and I found several pictures of this particular game-
Here is the commercial for the game from 1984-
Then in 1995 they brought the game, "Mystery Mansion" back but as an "electronic talking game"
I sooooo remember seeing this, had it in my hands to buy it, then I decided not to! Seeing how expensive it is now I'M kicking myself that I didn't grab it up at Toys R' Us!!
And here's the 1995 commercial for the electronic game version of "Mystery Mansion"-
